HERONsports began as a freelance motorsport trackside support operation and, in 2013, evolved into a legal entity. With roots in racing, the company has gradually matured into a provider of advanced engineering services for the automotive industry, specializing in fail-safe operational subsystems such as (active) suspension and steering, with expertise in material engineering and manufacturing.
Miguel Dhaens CEO
Before founding HERONsports, Miguel Dhaens held various engineering management roles in automotive suspension development for global Tier 1 companies.
Earlier in his career, Miguel accumulated 15 years of experience at Ilmor Engineering (UK) and Toyota Motorsport (Germany), serving in multiple engineering capacities within Formula 1, including as a development engineer and manager responsible for race teams, test teams, and advanced strategies.
